RIOTE 1 was a vibrant, European knowledge and skills exchange bringing together 6 performing arts organisation.

Street theatre was made on the streets of Ljubliana; villagers were invited to see a performance in the Romanian village of Chidea/Kide; lectures were held at ELTE University in Budapest; a show case of performances took place for the community in Dartington whilst meetings in each country enabled us to research and discuss further the possibilities of outdoor theatre in rural settings.

Workshops held by Teatro Tascabile di Bergamo and then Kud Ljud in Ljubljana brought together diverse theatre cultures and styles of making. We trained hard, were challenged physically and creatively and took away skills for workshop leading and theatre making.
